An Austrian Bride's Trunk
Folk Art Workshop with Carl Larson
May 17-20,2012

Carl has limited his workshops this year but he loves coming to Spokane. We’re grateful that we are on his preferred list of special people.

This year's project features a white Bride’s  Trunk. It is approx. 12”x7” deep x 9” high. There are 10 custom boxes on order. Cost is 45.00 plus 3.92 sales tax for a total of 48.92.  If you want the wood, include payment with your registration. After Mar 10 we will not promise additional boxes.  If you want to work on an alternate surface Carl will help you adjust pattern to fit. Workshop cost $200.00.  Wood, pattern and prep instructions should be available by late Apr - first of May. Additional shipping will be charged if wood needs to be sent to you before the workshop.

A simple reception and prep night will be Thursday from 5:30-8pm. Hours will be 9-4 Friday, Sat and Sunday.
Since Carl needs to make travel plans we ask that you confirm you registration by Apr 10.

Evergreen Memory Box Painting Group

The Memory Box Program is an international program where boxes are decorated and donated to hospitals to be given to grieving families as a keepsake to hold mementos and to provide a bit of comfort to the family.

A local group, the Evergreen Memory Box Artists, meets the second Friday of each month at Spokane Art Supply to decorate boxes.  Each attendee purchases a papier mache box which can be decorated by painting, decoupaging, stamping or any way they choose.  Keep in mind that this is a celebration of the child.  The boxes become treasured keepsakes for families who have lost a child.

Boxes are donated locally to Sacred Heart Medical Center and Kootenai Medical Center.  In addition we ship boxes throughout the U.S.
